Clonmacnoise:  A Sonic Tale

Synopsis

"Clonmacnoise: A Sonic Tale" is a 45 minutes immersive performance following the fil rouge of the Celtic folklore-inspired album “Clonmacnoise” by Federica Fruscella.

It is one of those imaginative Bedtime Stories our Grandmothers used to tell us when we were small.

The music takes us into the world of Folklore Archetypes, where Characters emerge from a song as Spirits from Water. They tell their story, only to disappear again and leave space for the next ‘scene’.

The audience is hence transported in a visualisation of the next story whose main medium is music, but that ultimately involves theatre, spoken word, poetry and tradition.

Included also in these stories is the delicate but peculiar presence of Italian Folklore, which contains many aspects similar to the Celtic tradition. The result is an emotional human journey in all its depths, which are thankfully preserved and evidenced in the world of Folk culture.
